Why do Christians talk about ‘blood’ so much?

Why do Christians talk about “the blood of Jesus” so much? Because Hebrews 9:22 says, “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.” We all have done bad things in our lives, we have all sinned (Romans 3:23). We need to be forgiven of our sins or we have to take the punishment for them. To be forgiven blood must be shed. We cannot shed our blood because it is defiled by sin. We need Jesus Christ’s holy and perfect blood, because He never sinned, to cleanse us of our sins. That’s why Christians talk about blood so much. Jesus Christ came to earth to give His life and shed His blood so we could be forgiven and go to Heaven. This is more amazing because Romans 3:11 says that “There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.” God came to forgive us when almost no one cared. God in His love took our place of punishment so we wouldn’t. The thought of someone taking our place of punishment that eventually would come upon us is amazing, especially when we didn’t care at the time. Many people today still don’t care. People go around today and use God’s name and Jesus’ name as a cussword, not caring what price God paid to save them and choosing instead to take their own punishment for the sins that they committed.

Versus from the KJV.
